Let’s colour the country in pink! The movement known as Pink October was born in the United States, in the 1990s, to encourage the participation of the population in the control of breast cancer. The date is celebrated annually with the aim of promoting awareness about the disease and sharing information about breast cancer.
All over the world, during this month, the colour pink spreads. It aims to make the population aware of the issue of prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.
The month of October is marked by two ephemeris: on October 15th, the World Breast Health Day is commemorated and on October 30th, the National Day to Fight Breast Cancer. It is during this period that the Department of Health Education develops the “Onda Rosa” movement. This seeks to encourage the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer. Let’s colour the country in pink!
Um pouco por todo o mundo, durante este mês, a cor rosa alastra-se. Tem como objetivo permitir sensibilizar a população para a temática da prevenção e diagnóstico precoce do cancro da mama. As três palavras.
